This Privacy Policy explains what information A S PAPPU (aspappu.com) collects when you visit or use the website, how that information is used, which third-party services are involved, and the choices you have. The website is run by ABU SAYEED PAPPU. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to A S PAPPU.
1. Information you give us
We only receive personal information from you when you choose to send it:
- Comments: your name, email address and comment text. Your email address is never shown publicly. We also record the IP address the comment was sent from, to help fight spam and abuse.
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, together with the sending IP address.
- Newsletter: your email address and the IP address used to subscribe.
- Member account (optional): your name, email address, an optional phone number and a password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form). We also store the date of your last login and the IP address used. If phone verification is enabled, a one-time code is sent to your phone by SMS.
- Orders (only when our shop is open): the name, phone number, email address, delivery address and payment reference details needed to process and deliver your order.
2. Information collected automatically
- Server logs: like almost every website, our web server records technical data for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
- Visitor statistics: to count visits, we store the page visited, the referring website and an anonymous visitor code. This code is a one-way hash of your IP address and browser details combined with a secret value that changes every day, so it cannot be used to identify you or to follow you from one day to the next. These records are deleted after 90 days.
- Visit notifications: the site owner receives short notifications about new visits through Telegram. A notification can contain the visitor's IP address, the page visited, the referring website, the browser and an approximate location (city, region, country and internet provider) looked up from the IP address using the ipwho.is service. These notification records are deleted from our database after 3 days.
- Google Analytics: see section 4.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use:
- Essential cookie (
aspappu_session): keeps forms secure, keeps you logged in if you have an account and remembers short-lived messages. It is deleted when you close your browser. - Local storage (
theme): remembers whether you chose the light or dark design. It never leaves your device. - Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (for example
_gaand_ga_*), described in section 4. - Advertising cookies set by Google and its partners when advertising is shown, described in section 5.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookie, forms such as comments, the contact form and login will not work.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the website (for example which pages are read most and how visitors find us). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, time spent, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This information is processed by Google according to its own privacy policy. You can learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and you can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Advertising and Google AdSense
To support the running costs of this website, we may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. When advertising is shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this website and/or other sites on the internet.
- Other third-party vendors or ad networks approved by Google may also use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads on this website.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu. More information about how Google uses data is available in Google's advertising policy.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are used.
6. Other third-party services
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr: fonts and design files are loaded from Google's and jsDelivr's servers, which receive your IP address and browser information when the files are downloaded.
- Telegram and ipwho.is: used for the visit notifications described in section 2.
- Email: emails such as account verification, password reset and replies are sent through our own mail server at aspappu.com.
- SMS: if you give a phone number and phone verification is enabled, your number and the verification message are passed to our SMS provider to deliver the code.
- Payment providers: when the shop is open and you choose an online payment method such as bKash or SSLCommerz, you are redirected to that provider, which processes your payment under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card or wallet PIN.
- Share buttons: the share buttons on our articles are plain links. Nothing is sent to Facebook, LinkedIn or other networks unless you click them.
